Founded in 2016 by Edgar Castro, a Construction Engineering graduate from Oregon State University, Five Star Exteriors was built on a simple belief — that homeowners and workers both deserve fairness, honesty, and quality.

Before starting Five Star Exteriors, Edgar worked as a subcontractor for large construction companies. During that time, he witnessed how many of these companies overcharged homeowners while underpaying their subcontractors. High-pressure sales tactics, hidden costs, and broken promises were all too common. Homeowners often felt taken advantage of, and hardworking tradespeople were left undervalued.

Edgar saw the problem firsthand and decided to create something different — a company where quality work meets fair pricing, and where workers are treated with respect.
